Hello! My name is Sanjula Pathirana, and I am a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering at the University of South Florida. I have a strong interest in robotics and artificial intelligence, as I believe these technologies hold the potential to shape the future and improve lives on a global scale.

My technical background includes circuit design, analysis, and implementation, as well as chip and PCB design. I also have experience programming microcontrollers in C/C++ and developing software in Python. During my R&D internship at the Multidisciplinary AI Research Center at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka, I worked on a wearable device project that utilized EMG and IMU sensors to analyze sports motion, gait, and posture. The system was AI-integrated to process sensor data and provide insights for performance optimization and health monitoring. This experience gave me hands-on skills in sensor integration, signal processing, and machine learning applications in wearable technology.

I am particularly passionate about exploring how robotics and AI can be applied to real-world challenges, bridging innovation with practical solutions. At RARE Lab, I look forward to expanding my skills as an aspiring researcher and engineer while contributing to meaningful work under the guidance of Professor Han.
